Biden Officials Detail ‘Whole Of Gov’t Approach’: Climate And Jobs Issues Interrelated

That’s because she’s a stone-cold killer who will tell you with a straight face that the plate of shit in front of you is a steak, and you’ll be halfway through it before realizing it’s not.

I’m pretty sure my first Volkswagen ran on coal. Going up hills black smoke used to pour out of the exhaust.

So…‘Green New Deal’ without actually using those words?

Yesterday I missed hearing “defund”

To hear what Gina McCarthy and John Kerry had to say, and the way they said it made this the best presser I’ve seen in a decade. I could listen to their optimism all day.

I’m sure it still does.

You want Manchin on your side with the Climate fix?
You have to employ West Virginians.
You have to provide them with jobs.
Like fabricating photovoltaic arrays, or wind generators, or wave generators.
Infrastructure for electric cars with recharging stations.
That’s what it’s going to take.
And they will thank you for never again having to descend deep underground.
So much effort is required that you could employ a huge number of people in each state.

I like this, and it’s better than pushing single issues such as the Green New Deal to the forefront as the “only” way forward. Legislation is massively important, but climate needs to be part of every decision the world govt’s make, from legislation to security to business decisions to personal decisions, etc… I hope this messaging of theirs gets the same headlines that previous monster-President’s stupid tweets did.

This has been the basic idea all along. So simple, so effective. This is another example where the GOP has spent decades and literally billions to keep the reality distortion field in operation for votes. Pretty simple really. It is still surprising to me, how many take the fork (and why the fuck is there a fork?) onto the ‘Disinformation SuperHighway’ and never get back on track.

When they discover how to actually turn coal into diamonds?

Whoa! Are you implying we shouldn’t leave it up to the states? Sounds like some serious government overreach. Has twiddling our thumbs been tried? (asking for Rand Paul).

Thanks for the tip. In my experiments, I always used crunchy.

Wow. Your VW could go Up hills? Mine only could go down hills, but it got great mileage.

That explains a lot when your family history is littered with exploits of ‘up hill, both ways’. :stuck_out_tongue:

And yet the American people who were paying attention waited four years for an Infrastructure Week that never appeared. Yes, it was a ruse by Trump. As a voting public, we have shown ourselves to be disinterested, misinformed, and frankly, intellectually lazy. I hope that this last election turned that around, but I suspect that the interest of many will subside with time. It’s the pessimist in me. I hope I’m wrong. I hope that Joe can talk frequently and clearly to the American people and inform, and that the public will listen and learn. It’s going to be an uphill slog.

Well, trump’s managed to turn diamonds into shit, so just have to reverse-engineer that process and you’re golden.

I love reading about good policy in between warching the GOP devolve into a sidewalk sale at Harbor Freight. Low quality tools falling apart for no good reason.

Great, awesome, do it!

But like I just said on another thread, get those goddamn checks out, and raise the cap, don’t listen to Goppers.

Nothing can be done that has a more immediate impact on people’s lives. And don’t tell us how that rancid traitor was for it, either. Joe signs the check, Joe gets the credit.
