The thing that gets me about all those articles is that most of the shit that is supposedly boxing Joe in is stuff he can undo, so how is he “boxed in”?
Except that the military has made clear it isn’t getting involved, Barr has made clear Trump lost the election, and the only proof anyone has that such a thing is in the works is a tweet from a disgraced asshole who has zero power to make it so. And if Republicans were planning such a thing, why even bother throwing millions and millions into the GA elections? What would be the point?

President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday joked that Attorney General Bill Barr had called him, “asking if I can get him in the witness protection program for endorsing me,” after Barr finally acknowledged earlier in the day that the Justice Department had seen no evidence of widespread fraud in the presidential election.
Biden might have phrased the honest truth as a joke on purpose. Let that idea stew in your minds for a bit.

It’s why the Flynn martial law and suspension of the Constitution is on the table - not one GOPper has come out and said f$% no. It’s why Trump is discussing the ideas of mass pardons for his family members. It’s why Trump is considering resigning a half hour before the inauguration so that President Pence can give a full pardon to Trump. All this stuff is under discussion and can’t be dismissed because the tools are already in place for all of this to happen. None of the GOP is standing up to say f%^^ no.
Trump knows he will be in cuffs the minute Biden is sworn in - it’s why he won’t go to the inauguration because he could be arrested on the spot, to be honest.
And who’s going to stop him from any of this? He’s floated and attempted so much nonsense over the last month, we can’t put this past him trying, no matter how ridiculous it sounds (and it does!). When there’s no one standing in his way, he’ll get away with it and probably even leave the country (which would be a blessing) to a destination with no extradition (which would NOT be a blessing) and serve the rest of his life in his shadow government.
At this point, given what I’ve seen since the election (and even before), none of this is outside the realm of possibility.

Trump only plays checkers and does so on a board with only one row. In that way, he doesn’t have to face an opponent. It’s all about him, every moment of every day. He’s so one dimensional that it’s surreal.
