Folks, this is what a President of the United States is supposed to do. I hope we have not forgotten this as we evict a squatter from the White House.
Don’t think we’ve forgotten, we’ve just been on pause for so long we’re a little rusty.
I am so proud of Joe and his administration for this decision.
Our country is in dire need of this acknowledgement.
Does anyone else give people likes then shortly thereafter they disappear. Just happen to me here.
Do you think they have purchased the elephant gun and XXXL gurney yet?
Nope. They refuse to acknowledge any and all losses.
Confronting reality. It’s about time.
Cue Trump counter-programming in 3…2…1…
(edit: posted before I saw ljb’s above. oops)
Would you happen to have the 800 number to call for purchase of commemorative coins?
see, that didn’t take long at all.
Likely that someone just changed their mind about the like or possibly hit it unintentionally the first time. It happens.
ETA: Wait. Do you mean you hit a like and then your name disappeared off the like list? That I haven’t seen before.
Wow. This is so needful for America: We need this.
Real Presidents do such things. Real Presidents (also) mention a Domestic bombing in a major U.S. city.
Alex Jones would probably hold an alternative rally calling them crisis actors.
This heartens me. However, it would be nice if the memorial could be at time we could more easily gather together or at least stand in our places of work and homes. Perhaps 2pm ET as compared to 5:30am.
I said this to my wife weeks ago - a memorial service at the Lincoln Memorial. They should have a priest, minister, rabbi and imam, and some poems (written for the occasion?). Sort of a pre-inaugural inaugural, but without a lot of political spechifying.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is leadership.
Ringing bells and all that shit at 530 in the fucking morning violates all sorts of noise ordinances.
Yes, I did the like, then it disappeared. Think it happened yesterday too.
I can think of a few names which I would not object to being added to the list.
Not at “5:30 AM ET”! Surely, that’s a typo, and it’s supposed to be 5:30 PM? I don’t want church bells ringing in my MT neighborhood at 3:30am.
