The “appearing presidential” thing is phrased for juvenile minds.
What it boils down to:

We are going to be losing hundreds of thousands more people this fall and winter to Covid and Donald J. Trump will not acknowledge their passing or honoring their lives. He considers the victims to be suckers. He got the best experimental drugs and treatment; they must die at home without any healthcare coverage.
If we are to continue as a civilized country, someone needs to take charge and finally organize a national response to keep our heads above water till there is an effective vaccine is in use. Trump is not capable. He’s too busy planning to sue his way to victory or set himself up in exile overseas.
The hospitals are filling up. Fausi is as good as fired by Trump. Covid is joining with other infections as we enter the flu season to make our lives even more dangerous. It could be mutating to zero in on new kinds of younger victims. Many of our countrymen could become disabled with life long ailments.
We don’t just need Joe. We need the sanity that will return with his inauguration.

I’m listening now and he’s talking slowly in this hoarse, gravelly voice about the crowd sizes yesterday. He sounds like a tired old man, where the visiting relatives always give each other a rueful look after they leave his room at the facility. He’s talking about how they scream that they love him at the rallies. It’s honestly very sad. All this destruction and death just to feel a little bit good about yourself. Yes, I think he knows it’s over.

I know a few, but most have recovered.
An old friend tested positive in the spring. He was in bed in the hospital when his wife tested positive and quickly died. They had been married for sixty years.
He’s a renowned physician, now broken-hearted but saving lives again back at work – which is likely where he contracted the virus.
No need to say again what I think of Trump and his accomplices.
