Seems to me that all of the Republican appointees currently on the Supreme Court are the “radical judicial activists” that Cruz says he objects to, given their apparent eagerness to go after any long-standing precedent they don’t like. But I guess radical conservative activists are OK, huh, Cruz?

Historical note: Clarence Thomas received a scholarship set aside for racial minorities. He was admitted to Yale Law School in 1971 as part of an aggressive (and successful) affirmative-action program with a clear goal: 10% minority enrollment.

A number of years ago I worked somewhere that he was visiting. My supervisor asked me if wanted to be part of a greeting group. I declined and said if I took part she would have to fire me for embarrassing the company with what I would say.
