The only way your friend could enter Canada is either illegally or they had special reason like illness in the family. etc. They would have to quarantine for two weeks and if found not abiding by the rules, would be picked up and heavily fined.
Our church’s bell choir taped performances in our church [complete with matching masks] during the holidays. It was great to see them in their ‘normal’ places.

Invitations have been extended to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), according to a person familiar with the invitations.
There’s the olive branch. We’ll be watching to see who takes him up on this.

They could have forced him to use those by ignoring his Twitter feed. It was irresponsible of the media to treat his Twitter feed as newsworthy.

. . . . WHAT ‘travel restrictions’? I live in SW Fla, and we’re getting tourists flying in nonstop from Frankfurt now. I ran into a German couple at the Publix, and they said they hadn’t been tested or told to quarantine or anything at all like that.

Once the Covid deaths started to climb Trump gave up even pretending to care (at least it’s impact on the Dow). Now that Biden’s President he’s hoping the numbers go even higher to make Biden look bad. After all it’s just a statistic. A black hearted monster.

The only reason that orange putz is leaving DC early is so he can hop a ride on AF1 while he’s still legally considered pResident. If he left when most presidents left he’d be leaving on his own private jet from the airport. Now they’re gonna have to re-fumigate, soak that baby in disinfectant and clean all the nooks and crannies on the plane all over again. Our tax dollars at work unnecessarily to the very end.

Its funny how everyone everywhere is literally counting down the tRump maladministration in terms of hours, minutes and seconds. Most people have basically long given up on counting the days even as far back as a week ago. Most want total accuracy in measuring how long we have before we can all take a deep sigh of relief. Seems comical on the one hand and totally appropriate on the other.

I too am a church musician and lay leader and it has been so strange to not be singing.
We did start having Zoom church with the requirement that only the ones officiating could be unmuted. Everybody else had to remain mute, but then could sing as loud and as off-key as they wanted. We just had one guy playing the guitar and singing very softly as leader. It worked very well.
