You can bet a bunch of Border Patrol and ICE officers are furious today, simply because their “freedom of speech” is being trampled so they can’t use derogatory terms towards non-citizens, all of whom they see as enemies (well, maybe not the white ones, after all they are Anglo-Saxon…). This won’t change things among those officers, our best option is to get rid of them and replace them with people who actually believe in the American principle of E Pluribus Unum. The more we get rid of the white supremacists in our national government, the better it will work for all Americans.

“a nation of immigrants” — a change in tone compared to the Trump administration that removed the phrase from the mission statement of CIS.
If CIS refers to the Center for Immigration Studies, which worked closely with the Trump WH, I wonder if the Orange Blob actually removed the phrase from CIS, as they claim to be an independent, non-partisan, non-profit research org.
(Others might say CIS is a hate-filled, anti-immigrant, white supremacist org, but it is a tough call

I’ve lived in remote Scotland since January 25th 2017. There is a lot of ‘all lives matter’ going on around here. In order to mitigate being beaten to death in a back alley, or crippling a local, I went into the bar, bade them all shut up, and announced myself to be an undercover operative for the Harlem Intelligence Agency, that my skin color was an extensive tattoo, and that I’d had my appendage shortened so I wouldn’t scare them. All with a straight face.
I’m a big guy. They don’t talk about all lives mattering down here anymore. They get the feeling I might hold them to their words.

The real trick will be dismantling the culture at DHS, of which BP, CBP, Ice and Immigration are parts. The attitudes of many of these troglodytes is best seen in their Unions endorsing Trump, and publicly supporting him. Not in a democracy. A way must be found to either reeducate these people or get them out of their $100,000 plus sinecures. BP has a horrible situation, and can’t fill its authorized positions. Its union has been particularly vocal over policy. Aren’t these guys law enforcement ? When do they get to call the tune? These are paramilitary organizations, or most are. 20 or 25 year and out pensions, Change the wording, but DHS/Ice etc need a thorough clean out. Starting with their union lobbying. Out boys.

I am old school where we were rightly taught if you use an abbreviation, spell out the entire name and immediately follow it with the abbreviation in parenthesis. I thought this was Journalism 101, and makes articles so much clearer, but obviously this has hit the dumpster of journalism for some reason. Alas.
