Juli Briskman, who lost her job over a viral photo of her flipping off President Donald Trump’s motorcade in 2017, made an unexpected comeback after Virginia’s elections on Tuesday night.
Well good for her, and we all got to see an iconic photo of what we’er all feeling.
Elections matter, this proves it.
She did do it again, yesterday.

I saw this in the wee hours this morning and took it as a good omen.
So, she won a seat that overseas a Trump golf course, and won over a name that sounds familiar (Suzanne Volpe) but I can’t quite place it. Volpe refused to answer a questionnaire from local media, which tells you all you need to know about her, and that kind of attitude probably contributed to her loss.
There’s probably not too much to read into this, a Democrat winning in VA last night wasn’t a surprise as the state moves further left. Hopefully it’s just another marker in how the nation is swinging away from Republicans and their attitude towards ruling (instead of governing) the nation.

I don’t know if saying “further left” really gets at what’s going on. I’d say “further sensible,” or words to that effect. The left-right thing seems restrictive and unnecessary.
