FYI, Sanders [through an adviser] also criticizes CNN, MSNBC, and the media in general.
It’s not just WaPo/Bezos.

One obvious theory is that Biden has been exposed to Republican attacks in a national general election, while Sanders has always been treated with relatively kid gloves. A primary voter might think that Sanders’ general election numbers are thus comparatively soft, and that he has more downside than Biden.

(Of course, this doesn’t have to actually be true, it only needs to be something that a primary voter thinks is true)

If MY Candidate (Deputy Barney Fife) makes it to the Nom, I am going to work three times as hard to elect him as I did for Hillary in 2016 (and that was a LOT).

That’s all that matters:

Getting the American Public to understand that Trump’s criminality makes Fife (or Warren or Sanders or anyone I saw on those Debate stages) an existential necessity over Trump.

This is embarrassing for TPM. To compare Bernie to Trump because they’re both critical of Amazon & Jeff Bezos is insulting to and glib. Bernie took on Amazon and won a big raise for its employees. Trump has done nothing but complain about unflattering reporting. Which one of these people is serious, which one of them is actually trying to help the people of America?

This is just one example. WaPo has been consistently negative and biased against sanders since 2016, because he offers a real challenge to Amazon’s (and other corporations) ever-expanding power.

I think Bernie is well within his rights to moan about press coverage.
I don’t think his press coverage has been anything as negative as he thinks.
He needs to start prepping himself and his supporters to switch to supporting the winning primary candidate, because it won’t be him. This is a very serious responsibility, bearing in mind (1) the existential stakes (for the planet, never mind the democracy) of the 2020 election; and (2) the fact that his supporters are atypically closed off to other candidates, even Warren. Did you actually read the article? Your comment says not so much. I saw no attempt to make Sanders and Trump allies just two people whining, something both do well, about the same thing less than friendly press coverage from WaPo

If you don’t like the message, attack the messenger. That’s Trump’s play book and what Bernie is doing here. From what is reported here I learned what Bernie doesn’t like about Amazon but nothing about what Bernie thought was wrong with any of the WAPO coverage of him. Was WAPO wrong on any fact or what is it that upset Bernie about the coverage?
