Behind The Dumb Meme That Disability Law Exempts You From Wearing A Mask At Costco | Talking Points Memo

A long shot Republican congressional candidate was sick of “the people’s republic of Illinois.”

“We’re just sharing out some information we found useful that seemed to be, let’s say, above-the-board and passed the smell test of being true.”

If you have to preface your statement with “seemed to be” and “let’s say”, I think we can safely assume that you are about to lie.

Can’t we get one of the remaining Koch brothers to open a supermarket that forbids masks?

I know I for one would have no problem with that, and would never shop there.

What the fuck is happening at West Point? Has it been infiltrated by aliens from planet Stupid?

My skin disease has started affecting my face. I grew a beard to cover it up. I shaved the beard to wear a mask.

If you can’t wear a mask, you are lucky that the local grocery store manager is a kind person, and he or she is happy to do your shopping for you and put it in your trunk. What good people we are.

The Koch Brothers actually opening a market?

The same Koch Brothers who want the weak, disabled, elderly and sick to die to cull the herd?

Fat chance!

OT, but re: unmasking of Flynn, TPM should add an explanation to the article as to why the fact that Flynn’s name was never masked in the first place was actually perfectly legitimate and legal. Faux News is trying to muddy the waters by sort of glossing over that and going all “this is even WORSE!!!” about it. As I understand it, it’s because the FBI is the agency that intercepted that call and it is not required to mask the names of citizens it intercepts when monitoring people like Kislyak. That only happens in other situations and for other agencies. So, the fact that Flynn wasn’t masked in this instance was actually entirely routine, legal and legit.

No Shoes. No Shirt. No Mask. No Service.

Easy peasy.

I hope he is masked now for the sake of his community. Wait, what?

Don’t they have access to airplanes at the airforce academy? You can’t be a flat earther and see the Earth from 30,000 feet.

This is so stupid. They scream about their rights and that they live in a free country but fail to remember that the businesses they enter, those companies and the owners also live in a free country and it is THEIR right to say No Mask, No Enter. Because they are exercising their rights because they too live in a free country. Do these same people have a problem with the business who have signs up that say NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE! Hygiene, pure and simple.

Ah yes, the laissez-faire hand of willfully misconstrued federally mandated disability accommodations.

Well, you’ll notice that it is a BS degree.

Does anyone know if this same fight against masks is happening in other countries? I know it isn’t in Asian countries, but what about European countries?

What a weird combination…vegan, holistic, military, bachelor of science, flat earth…??? Flip flopper.

Even if everyting Marter said was true (none of it is), your recourse would be to sue the state - the store would still be protected from legal action because they were following a governor’s order.

And, again, just for the sake of clarity, nothing Marter said is true.

Exactly. Would Kevin there object to being forced to wear a shirt and shoes? Why is that not an intolerable Civil Rights infringement?

I demand the right to shop nude.

I will still wear a mask, however.
