Here’s what someone needs to ask her: “Why, since the counting of the vote on Jan.6 was to certify Biden’s win, would the Democrats want to interfere with that by staging a riot to prevent it?” And then ask, “Who else do you think might have had an actual motivation to interfere?”

Exactly! Republicans are so ahead of the game when it comes to influencing people’s opinions, and it’s because they work on just such language games. Liberals think they’re making great logical arguments without realizing that by calling it “Fox News” and thus reinforcing they’re ‘news’, they’ve lost the game before they’ve even started.

It’s a cryin’ shame. I worked at CNBC in Englewood Cliffs in the early oughts and Maria was just another NYU grad who, having stumbled into nascent cable TV, found herself spouting bizspeak about P/E ratios and support and resistance. Of course, having no idea of what she was saying. But hawking the stock market to dupes was innocent enough. But now support and resistance take on a whole new meaning, don’t they?
