I loved the image of Trump et al walking away from the White House in the background. It’s like the closing scene in 20 or so crappy action movies where the protagonist dismissively walks away from an explosion he created.
It may yet come to pass for real.

Trump may say he wants “calm”
but every F’ing thing that he is doing is as though he is vigoriously striving to get to 100x this -

Clearly no one knows who is supposed to be in charge.

Can someone answer: Which “law enforcement officials” were given the order? D.C. law enforcement officials? If so, wouldn’t that decision have to be made by D.C. elected officials, or at least in consultation with them? If someone in the federal government has the authority to make such a decision, where does that reside? I’m confused. Seems the U.S. Attorney General would not have that independent authority.

Many of us recall the Kent State massacre and the comments we heard about how those hippies got what they deserved. “Let them see what war is really like”. Is it any better today?

“No Hope In This Hick” ~ According to reports from both the New York Times and the Daily Mail, Hope Hicks, who now serves as counselor to the president, was the brains behind having Donald Trump leisurely stroll from the White House over to St. John’s church for a photo-op that has turned into a public relations disaster for the administration.

It doesn’t appear that the protesters were an actual threat at their initial location. My guess is they were pushed back because Trump didn’t want the sound of the protesters chanting to be heard in the background for his little media stunt.

So the order had to come from Trump first, and then carried out by Barr. Trump is the only one in the WH would thinks like that, as if his entire Presidency is a reality TV show where the staging is important.

Actually I don’t remember those comments and I was a dirty fucking hippie. I remember people generally horrified.

It’s time for another very vocal, very public round of mea culpas from the people in the legal establishment who promised us Barr would uphold the rule of law. The same people the Senate hid behind to support the confirmation of this fascist. They need to speak out about his behavior.

… good question - because the NY Post & FOX are running with a counter-story that the tear gas and rubber bullets were justified because the demonstrators here harassing the cops …
So if Barr is stepping up and owning the clearing the demonstrators - and effectively acknowledging the reality that it was entirely done to clear a path for fat Trump to waddle over and pose with a bible …
well then the NY Post & FOX must be pumping out a fabricated story …

Many were and many were not.

At this point even he knows he’s not much of an attorney so why not try being a general?

It’s a little late for that.
