Yes. Barr is conspiring to suborn murder.

I think and hope that US and/or int’l IC has info on Barr himself which, if necessary, will blowback on Fat Willy 1000-fold.

You are correct. But the media has gotten lazy about this fact, preferring the usual “neutral” position of adopting a position in the middle of what the Republicans are saying and what objective reality is saying.

The biggest story about the Steele dossier is the lie that the entire investigation was started by the dossier, which itself was paid for by Clinton. Both parts of that explanation are lies: the research was originally paid for by Trump’s primary opposition within the Republican party, and the foundation of the Russia investigation started long before this dossier was created.

But, yeah, large parts of the dossier have been substantiated. As evidenced by the Mueller report.

Simple.
Barr NEEDS those deets to be available for his cherry-picking opposition to the entire report.

Exactly what I was thinking when I read that quote from Ms. LaFond. No need to repeat MSM myths here at TPM.

There are Operation Rescue Catholics whose hatred of differing beliefs justify all manner of sin.

There are plenty of other Catholics, especially in Central and South America, whose actions are informed by love.

Nancy Pelosi is an excellent example of them.

There is faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love.

Yep. They haven’t grasped the obvious truth that ETTD. They are past the point of clawing back to respect. Barr is scared, he is making a lot of mistakes now.

Of course…how else was Faux News going to get out-of-context tidbits to run with in countering the disaster the Horowitz report and Durham’s conclusions are for their narrative? This is going to be the narrative while Horowitz and Durham fail to deliver the death blow to the Democratic Party that Faux News and its mindless nation of gullible propaganda sponges pretend Horowitz and Durham don’t even exist or are part of the “deep state”. It’s already starting…

Exactly as I remember.

This just sounds like more of the same from Trump/Barr/GOP. It is one ginned up “scandal” after another in search of an audience. How desperate do they have to be to put all this work into shoring up their own damn supporters? Pretty damn desperate.

This is a bullying tactic which won’t bother Steele. He stands behind his report and he doesn’t have anything to lose. But in any case it won’t change the contest.

If the Trump GOP don’t believe in facts being objectively true or important then they are invulnerable to them. It’s an Orwellian defense, and it’s going to work - at least until the election.

The Republican allegation made against Hunter is that he was using his position to get favorable treatment for Burisma with US policymakers. That would most definitely be a crime in the US. How it could even be investigated in the Ukraine makes little sense.

??? Foreign firms and governments hire lobbyists all the time to represent and further their interests in the U.S. Many of these lobbyist’s ability to perform in that role rests solely on the fact they were once in government and have gravitas and a vast network of contacts to prevail upon. That and maybe a basket full of “you owe me” slips to use. All you have to do is properly divulge your role in your work and it’s perfectly legal.
As far as Hunter sitting on Burisma’s board, thousands of U.S. citizens sit on the board of directors, for firms all across the planet. They get their job in many cases not because of any expertise or education related to the work of the firm’s board they sit on, but because they can work the room for the benefit of the firm.
I fail to see how that is a crime.

Steele, whose mostly unverified dossier

The main thrust of the Steele dossier was that Russia was helping Trump get elected.

Steele wrote words to that effect a month before the FBI opened their Trump/Russia investigation.

And of course Mueller confirmed it three years later.
