I am quite stunned at the level of inattention or disinterest the Avg. American is showing. And that is coming from me, who basically cannot underestimate the Avg. American.
Most of the Avg. folks who don’t like Chump have a pretty good angle on him. But the I’s and R’s don’t ever seem to mention how transparently delusional and deceptive he is. Forget about him telling lies…I mean how he tries to manipulate people, hints about cheating, calls others cheaters, and basically admits he will cheat or “have to look at” suspending elections, etc. Goes after Biden with a dirt-hunt, or goes after The Squad. It is just so obvious how he is trying to push those buttons. Says you have to vote for him, you have no choice…that kind of thing. I don’t mean lying about his golf score or pant-size.
I could almost forgive the Rubes all these years and the fairly subtle and sly Rovian tactics that fooled them with much help from Fox. But now it is IN YOUR FACE manipulation and puppet-string pulling and they still have no objections.

Lawrence had a pollster on as his last guest last night. She said that the Dems will win in 2020 because they are now aroused.
When she says “Dems” she means Dems and Democratic-leaning Independents.
The key, in her eyes, is that we have been taught a lesson on the results of political inattentiveness and laziness. She looks at this as pivotal, rather than trying to convince Trumpers.
I personally have one other key:
A rigorously supervised election with back-up systems, paper ballots and international monitoring (I’ll take the U.N. if necessary).
Of course, maybe we can get him to resign. Only a few other people share that opinion.

I agree with people who point out that his re-election right now is not a foregone conclusion at all. His disapproval ratings are so high right now, it’s really hard to see how he could turn that around. They’re baked in and even riling up the feral trumpers to his defense isn’t enough to get him over the top. (Even with vote tampering.) As the tariffs really start to punch the economy below the belt, it’s only going to get worse.
