I was referring to the Capitol police officer who calmly led the insurrectionists away from the door to the Senate chamber at considerable physical risk.
my bad, still trying to figure out why the hell Douchey would show up.
Because he’s the governor of a state.
Please don’t remind me of that, I live here.
Ducey’s RSVP comes after Trump said last week that he wouldn’t be attending his successor’s swearing in — an unprecedented move that hasn’t been made by an outgoing president since 1869.
Well, Nixon didn’t stick around to see Ford sworn in.
Biggs is my State Rep. I called him out for being a seditionist. Today, I rec’d an email from him assuring me that he is only trying to get the “irreguarities” from the election ironed out. You know, the irregularities not in evidence in 60 court cases. Gibbs, Gosar, Lesco are part of the tin hat crowd here.
He’s an exemplary person. He shows you what courage is good for.
A welcome, welcome sight. Time to take out the trash.
Seriously you might also ask him if there are other jobs that interest him. Like maybe being the head of the Capitol police. I have never seen a person in so much danger keep such a cool head and use brilliant tactics. He glanced left toward the Senate chamber and then pushed the lead rioter in the chest to keep him focused on himself as he led them like ducklings in the opposite direction. That lead guy glanced toward the Senate area himself, but he kept following Goodman like he was hypnotized, and so did everyone else, giving the senators time to escape. And it’s not so much that they were senators. It’s that they were vulnerable human beings who were lucky because a brave, smart protector was there at that moment.
We might also spare a thought for the person who filmed it. I was wondering about that. It was Igor Bobic, a reporter for Huffington Post. He could have run, but he didn’t. Just saying.
Hah, really? The first two were already happening, I was being tongue in cheek about the third one for Ducey…guess I hit that one square on.

How about that? Brian Beutler is doing well for himself too. And Alice Ollstein has a good job with Politico. It’s too easy to focus on the warts here and miss that these kids are doing a whole lot of really good work.
The Republican Party is become a Stalinist Extortion Racket.
The Republican governor issued a statement on Thursday affirming the plans, adding that he was “honored” to represent his state at the upcoming ceremonies.
… … …
As a 4th generation Arizonan I wish Ducey the carpet bagger would just leave.
A little schmoozing never hurt any state’s emergency appropriations …
So glad I’m not in one of those awful districts! You have my sympathy. But we all suffer Ducey- who has just sunk completely out of sight while Covid rages throughout the state, and is trying to punish schools for protecting their staff and students by distance learning.
