But the absolute urgency of focusing on achieving victory - in 102 days has to be #1

• that may require that there be some triaging of tasks … not an elimination … just assure success on the absolute most important front.

Remember that at that time America was roiled. Student demonstrations on Vietnam, the military draft, and much else. Much pressure on LBJ. He bailed out of the campaign in March of 1968 and endorsed his veep Hubert Humphrey to replace him. Nixon won. And eventually brought us the Watergate scandal which eventually forced his resignation during his second term.
