I wonder how many of these Men (for the most part) were successful high school or college debate stars (because they weren’t able to prove their manliness on the sportsball fields and courts). The only point is to win - not to learn, not to advocate for good, not improvement, not courage, or even conservation of what might be good for you. Political football hacks like Fleischer and all of the Lincoln Project boys are just embarrassed that they way they won was with a dumbshit clown monster like Trump. Their winning debate strategies are only designed to win and line their pockets. These are not intelligent humans. Smart (that cheap white male version that sets the Ivy league standard), but not curious, and not even close to intelligent. Smart hacks. Trying to elect smart white male hacks. Trump and the level of stupid he embodies is embarrassing. But that kind of stupid base support is why Fleischer and the Lincoln Project even exist and demand our attention. And when they get rid of Trump, as they should, everything will be the same. Dobbs may lose them a 10 year or so window of power, but then, after Democrats fix the worst of Republican money whoring, it will be back as it was. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.

Here’s the New York Times article with a link to the letter from the chair of the city council parks committee urging the city to pull the Trump organizations contract due to its Saudi ties. From a legal and historical standpoint if the city can bar contracts with companies who supported a boycott of Israel, violated the Sullivan principles on Apartheid South Africa or McBride principles regarding business in Northern Ireland they can yank this contract.

We were on a cruise in Ketchikan, Alaska when the attacks happened. Sitting across a table from an English lady I heard her say “Now you Americans feel about the Arabs the way we feel about the IRA.” I launched into a screed as to why my family had to flee Ireland for America due to starvation caused by the colonial Brits stealing all the food and leaving only cabbage. I let her have it verbally right between the eyes. Then I kept going describing the long journey I had done in my youth all the way to the Khyber Pass and the generosity and kindness I encountered on the way. That lady visibly realized she’d really stepped in it.

I’m just cautious about the allegations. Any responsible faculty or staff would have intervened immediately if aware of such abuse.
I was chair once of my small university’s IACUC, and if anything remotely suspicious was done in the very small, wild mice trapped and released research project, I’d been in the university’s president office asking when I should call the veterinarian on the committee (a required member of the committee), who would then call NIH and probably the US Marshall office.
As I said I would have gone the “direct route” up into Oz’s face, and then called the police so I could surrender for assault.
I don’t do well when confronted with critter abuse.
