The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling in a case on Monday more than seven years after the matter was first filed, and hours after TPM published an article about the delay.

I agree. Sad.

Alabama’s attorney general took the stunning step of moving for a ruling from the court. The three-judge panel replied that the case presented “a number of complex issues” and added that “The Court has worked diligently on the case and continues to do so, but more work remains to be done.”

Alabama black man loses case apparently lost for seven years. Where’s the news in that?

And, you know, that Scalia guy had the torque wrench, last, and now, no one can find it.

The American “justice” system continues to spit in the eye of the people, right up to the highest levels.

This will not end well.

The plaintiff was a homeless black man. Was there ever any doubt about the outcome?

Anyone shocked by the decision? Anyone expect this decision to right an institutional wrong?

Anyone still have even a tiny bit of respect left for courts so thoroughly corrupted by the Federalist Society?

He wasn’t given the death penalty for having the temerity to file a suit against the state of Alabama?

Though the terms of the current ruling are something of a slow, miserable death penalty.

Uh, what now… when is Mars opening up as an exile colony? And isn’t his life protected under Alabama Law or does his non-fetal status exempt him?

If he was still a fetus the court would have protected him.

So … maybe I missed something
…court took the case in 2015 - heard arguments in February of 2016
… then nothing - just “yeah it is still cooking” - for 6 / 7 years
… then inquiries made last week
… and today an 81-page ruling springs forth - full grown!

and boom - no, no and no in all respects
… it is a wonder that they did not slap him with additional fines for being so impertinent as to file this damn thing in the first place.

Fortunately, there is still the Supreme Court to correct the excesses of the right-tilted 11th Circuit.

Oh, wait, hold on a sec…

Not just that, if he’d raped a woman and impregnated her, the court would have awarded him custody.

The news is that they over-ruled the district court’s decision that most of that law was unconstitutional.

Progress.

I’m shocked that it took 11 years to get nowhere.

Terrible decision and there is no excuse for this decision to be delayed this long. Wow, well maybe on to the S.C.?
