Facts have been stuck to. You are imagining that Cruz and Carson may claim they are being accused of something more than they are being accused of.
If either of them want to bring up that they were not involved in sexual abuse in this case I say let them. Denial is as good as a confession in the public sphere. Cruz has not said, “I am not a murderer” regarding AOCs earlier remarks and I don’t think he is inclined to.
I would be happy to supply them with t-shirts that say, “Not a Rapist” if they would be willing to wear them.
I agree it was his job to be ‘professional.’ I am saying maybe HE was stressed and yelled because he knew the URGENCY of getting her out of there.
Since the assault on the Capitol there have been TWO suicides in the CapCops. ‘Some’ police never have to fire a gun. Or even DRAW their gun. That seems unbelievable to ‘me’ but it appears to be true.
SHE was under so much stress, her Instagram was heart-breaking yesterday. I am so glad nobody who meant her harm got to her.
I mean, Taylor Green had a campaign poster of herself pointing a machine-gun-type weapon (totally ignorant of what it was, sorry) at her and the other two members of The Squad, but SHE was the one closest to the weapon.
For me, Taylor Green had tweeted Pelosi’s position; she WOULD have posted AOC’s and I have a sneaky feeling she would’ve taken AOC out herself. After all, SHE considers AOC a ‘traitor’ AND she has the explicit backing of Trump!
I heartily agree. By that, I mean “in my heart I agree completely.” But in my childhood, I had a totally different understanding, and feeling. I laughed at your vivid “a lot of men really suck pondwater.” Remember the woman who shot Andy Warhol way back in the day (1968)? Her name was Valerie Solonas. She was also best known for her radical feminist book “The SCUM Manifesto” (Society for Cutting Up Men), in which she described how men would swim across a river of shit to get to pu**y at the other side. That was vivid, too. She had horrible childhood abuse, and developed schizophrenia as an adult. Unfortunately, she died twenty years after the attempted murder of Warhol (she was convinced that Warhol and his team were trying to steal rights to her self-published book), of pneumonia, in SF in 1988. RIP, Sister.
Empathetic and humanistic people come in all sexes, genders, and sizes. That is what makes life wonderful. Like Mr. Rogers always said, if you are in trouble, find a helping person. You pretty much know them when you meet them.
