I hear you … but when exactly has this crowd ever invoked discretion and discernment?

These are stare at the eclipse MAGAs … ranting “Keep your socialist hands off of my Medicare” Hydroxychloroquine & Ivermectin devotees

And if you knew about it, how could the local, district and Fed folks not have?

I think that’s what the insurrection investigation has a fair chance of explaining. Not sure much will come of it and, given there is a date for a new gathering with no new information, it’s not unreasonable to think this one could be a mite more successful.

Let the naysayers say ‘nay’. At this point, with this bunch in charge throughout the LE and cybersecurity environment, including leftovers from the previous admin that haven’t been rooted out yet, it really could go either way.

Well, given that the rally is on a Saturday, the House and Senate won’t even be in session, and that Congress isn’t certifying an election, no, this doesn’t have a chance of being more successful.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that there were analysts in law enforcement with a good vibe on the pulse of the looming insurrection. What we need to find are the higher up filters who completely discounted the warning or refused to acknowledge the growing risk.

The tricky thing with intel, is you can often get vastly competing and contradictory assessment and any number of these simply contain different interpretations using much of the same data. The process tends to play out where good decision makers learn to trust sources with a stronger track record for getting things right. But that kind of filtering is precisely what could get you into trouble with TFG’s thugs.

See: Dr Rick Bright

One also cannot discount the notion that many LOE decision makers were quite simpatico with the whole fascist undertaking and were more than willing to let matters play out. This, above all is what the House Hearings must uncover and deliver early ends to some careers.

Those complicit should have no power over the nation’s LOE institutions.

What isn’t mentioned, and probably not in Politico as well, is that all of this crazy talk was begun and endorsed by most GOP senators and 45*. They could have quashed this from the start if they hadn’t been trying not to hurt the feelings of the person who ruined this country and destroyed their party.

Or gave them tours of the capitol.
Or cut the panic buttons in Dem offices.
Or goaded the rioters on through speeches and texts and phone calls.

Agree totally, however i remember that blank, shocked/stunned/ expression on georgie boys face before he left that classroom. No one expected anything that horrible to occur. Even with all the info they received from Clinton’s team, which they basically ignored.
IMHO, they planned to use whatever if anything did happen, to aid their plans for the mid-east.

Agreed; it is what the Cheney administration did.
Their plan for Iraq was going forward, one way or the other.

So these fuckers are planning another “wild” one for September 18.

Great! Herd them into a little area with a couple of these:

Then eliminate the threat with one of these:

These were both developed for use on America’s enemies, and these are domestic enemies.

[OK, a little overkill, but these AR-wielding 'tards need to be taught that their popguns are useless.]

Would Donald have given thumbs-up, or…
