We were down in Central VA last weekend (the town we were staying in went for Spanberger), and on one back road, there was this super tattered TFG campaign flag. When we visited that B&B about six months ago, the flag was whole. Now it’s not even fit to clean up dog poop.

This is an outstanding article. I wonder if Josh would be able to take the lead in researching the impact of all the election denial baloney on the actual process of election. Did the voter suppression laws have a big effect on turnout? Did the extra security actually add to the security of the ballot counts or just appear to? Has the extra time used to count ballots had a positive or negative effect on voters? I’m not sure if these questions are relevant or naive, but, based on the presidential elections of 2000 and 2020, most delays in announcing the outcome seem to have favored the right-wing propaganda machine. By the time the results were announced, especially in 2020, well over half the crowd was booing the umps
Not only that, “So did her ticket-mate” appears to refer to “claims to have personally witnessed voter fraud,” since that’s the immediately preceding clause. When I first read that I went “huh??”

My gut feeling is that it won’t happen before Cockholster files to run for re-selection. Then Garland will cite that bogus DOJ Office of Legal Counsel memo that says it can’t file charges during an election cycle, citing election interference. And the can will be kicked further down the road until it is eventually lost in the weeds of a fetid drainage ditch.

This has been a close call. Some election deniers got elected.
With a DeSantis and Fox waiting in the wings, could be just some more sophisticated efforts to install a dictator in our country. 71% of Dems and 63% of goopers said Democracy is under threat.
We have to finish the job. The threat is not over.
