Not really a fan of his but it’s a great idea.

The movie theater industry has been on the ropes for years. This decision probably ends the entire industry.

AMC was worried about going bankrupt because of the coronavirus shutdown.

They will now.

If there is anything that the protests showed, it’s how out of touch people like Adam Aron are.

I love drive-ins, but the windows fog up so much that it’s hard to watch the film.

I already barely go to the movies, no problem just cutting it out entirely. Thanks for making the choice to save money easier, assholes.

On a positive note, the fact that every intelligent person will avoid their business means that the low-information humans will have an easier time social distancing.

Maybe if you took someone else with you, to open the other window?

Wearing masks is political because of the stupid example set by Trump. So now AMC in announcing it doesn’t want to be political is being political by succumbing to Donnie’s shitty (and dangerous) example. Such BS.

Perfect way to see a movie without wearing a mask.

“Political controversy”? Bitch, please!

What are you going to do next, Mr. Aron? Attempt to force your patrons to sign waivers saying your company is not responsible if they contract the virus in your theater because you refused to enforce a reasonable and sane public health policy? Sounds like something one of your heroes would use.

For which they will promptly demand and receive a nice Big Government-socialist-welfare bailout. While their employees get laid off.

I assumed the another person’s presence is what was fogging up the windows.

You must mean this, which is about not at all ambiguous which means AMC management can’t read. Also, there’s a Cinemark near me and they too say it’s up to the “guests.” Besides, with summer coming the films they’ll show will be CGI fests. No thank you.

Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday ordered all Californians to wear face coverings while in public or high-risk settings, including when shopping, taking public transit or seeking medical care, after growing concerns that an increase in coronavirus cases has been caused by residents failing to voluntarily take that precaution.

Newsom’s order came a week after Orange County rescinded a requirement for residents to wear masks and as other counties across California were debating whether to join local jurisdictions that had mandated face coverings.

Thanks, Mr. Aron, AMC, Regal, and Cinemark Theaters:

You have convinced millions of people to extend their subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+, HBOMax, and AmazonVideo.

And doing that while also putting nails in the coffins of your own businesses really takes a special kind of talent - let’s just call it an effort of “Trumpian” proportions.

Get with the times! Drive-ins now push their audio over FM, so you get whatever channels your car radio puts out.

AMC–You just proved that old maxim . .be careful what you don’t think you’re wishing for but really you are.

And in a related move, Wendy’s won’t ban customers who wear Nazi insignia or t-shirts that read “Kill all the N-----s” because it might offend some customers and be too divisive.
