They should allow users to opt out of political renamings.
At least in states that touch the body of water in question
A thing to point out is a serious narcissist has an odd relationship to the past, present and future. When planning, they will usually opt out for the perfect outcome. Past experience is ignored. And when I say perfect outcome, they cannot envision anything different. This is usually one of their most fatal flaws. They cannot flex. We are seeing that with him and Pete as well. It has to work, it was perfect.
It might be possible to hack the system that way, but they’re taking the least controversial path of pointing to the official US geographic names database and saying “not our fault, blame them!” It’s plausible deniability, so they can say they’re not making a politics-based choice.
So you’re saying it didn’t go to ZERO!?! ![]()

“Love Hurts” is a song written and composed by the American songwriter Boudleaux Bryant . First recorded by The Everly Brothers in July 1960.
The Everly brothers lived in Knoxville for a while as teenagers–Don graduated from West High School in the class of 1955, and Phil graduated in Nashville after the Everly family moved there.
I know some folks who graduated with Don, and a couple of women who dated him back then.
About two blocks from West High School (and near where the family lived) is Everly Brothers Park." which occupies a small corner lot (that was the site of a gas station) that fronts on Kingston Pike and Forest Park Blvd.
While the boys did write some of their best songs, “Love Hurts” was written by Boudleaux Bryant with some input from his wife Felice.
“Beta Dumocrats”?
Doesn’t he know that “dumb”:has a “b” in it? /s
No—he’s too dumb.
Thanks for the correction. I know I read that they’d written the song – where? AI? Probably.
Keeping track of the teams’ police blotter killed any remnants of interest.
Michael Vick should not have been allowed to ever again walk onto a playing field.
Weird in appearance and (lack of) function.
And he offered Argentina another $20 billion if the singularly odious Javier Milei was reelected.
Every country has their stinkers
Worked 26 years with fluoroplastics. Amazing stuff that has made my retirement possible.
Put the jackets on wires. Made the stuff that keeps that stops the grease from soaking through your food wrappers, and all sorts of other things most folks have no idea about.
made paper from scratch, quite an amazing process
Best was anti-corrosian coatings stuff for Semi-Cons
And in case anybody is interested
Way back in 1989 TPTB sent me to work a booth at a trade show in SFO
We go out for lunch with my boss, his boss, and our biggest customer.
Chinese place and we were the only white people in the room so I knew the food would be great
Well, dude comes with the tea and Mormon customer demands to know if it’s black tea or green tea. Dude obviously speaks no English and Mormon idiot just starts yelling at the dude.
