A commenter at WaPo provided the text of the statute that might give the gov’t another chance at an indictment. Another commenter pointed out that, given the pace of the courts, the additional time afforded would likely run out.

I was present for an absolutely cataclysmic bomb of a second show one night–LEGENDARY-- and he wanted company at the local diner afterwards. Or maybe it was the next day. Long time ago.

I learned a really important lesson from him. I assumed every comic coming through our club (Sinbad started with us!) wanted to be a Big Time Comic. Turns out, lots were just working their way into The Biz in general.
He went on to act with and direct Kevin Costner (a couple times).

I’ve beennn seent home with a catheter a number of times in my 20 years as a bladder cancer patient (all under control, i’m very happy to say), and the best thing is how one feels once the damned thing comes out, which it does, finally. The agriculture secretary also wants hundreds of thousands of people to reapply for SNAP benefits even though they were already eligible. Every thing with them is about putting up hurdles for those who they see as unworthy. Forcing these reapplications aren’t just about making things more difficult, they costly and inefficient, the public policy term is kludge.

I am so sorry for your loss. While I know this is not the right time, I want to urge you to consider adopting another companion as soon as you are able emotionally. There are so many companion animals who need a person–please consider being there for one of them as Cleo was there for you. I wish you all the best.

So sorry for your loss. It’s good that you were able to find a vet who did home calls and allowed you to hold Cleo’s paws as she passed. Keeping you in my thoughts until you return.

Home euthanasia is easier on the animal as well. Once the decision is made, the manner is all that matters. We have had this done twice now. It still hurts, but the animal gets as peaceful an end as possible. It would be best to consult with your Veterinarian in advance.
