They’re also the ones who are more likely to be “essential workers” on the front lines working all day and all evening at restaurants and other jobs.
So we’re telling them it’s okay to work at a restaurant all week, but not okay for them to relax and go out themselves when they have a free day.

Sturgis ended the 16th then a bunch of those yahoos went to Milwaukee as Bikers for Drumph later that week. There were some close interactions with counter protesters. FFS.

I hope they are aware that they are not immune and younger people are more susceptible to the blood clotting problem that causes people to lose their limbs.
It’s called: Sacrifice. We used to know what that meant but not anymore. Now we don’t get playtime and to do what we want we are all toddlers throwing tantrums.

I just got a text from my neighbor this morning telling me that they are leaving for Florida, and expect to be gone 9 days. I told her to keep an eye on the weather…the last two times (?) they went down to Florida they had to come back early because, you know hurricanes.

Just saying, it’s not exactly a shared sacrifice to tell them that they’re fine to go to work at a restaurant or a grocery store and be exposed all day to others of all ages, but suddenly they’re considered selfish if they want to go out to that same restaurant after work is over.
This whole generational thing was a setup from the start to fracture people. And we should be wary of falling for it. Sturgis is a collection of old folks, but I haven’t seen anyone saying that all old folks are irresponsible because one group was.

We don’t know how many Covid survivors have permanent organ damage. The percentage could be well into double digits, based on preliminary evidence. Trump didn’t just kill 100,000, he may have condemned a million people to early, horrible death from heart failure. Am I being alarmist? Definitely. Am I wrong? Not demonstrably wrong, as far as I know

My daughter is an Infectious Disease Dr. treating COVID patients at the local hospital. She says that the first wave was brutal as it burned through the high risk populations in Nursing Homes, factories etc. That wave has subsided but cases are starting to increase again. She says that the current increase is because the virus is now targeting the “dumb” and that, unfortunately, is a much larger population. God help us all.

I’m aware that we are looking at potential long terms health problems for a whole bunch of people who have had COVID and we don’t know the extent yet. It’s a scary goddamn virus.
