Dennis Hastert - high school coach. Pleaded guilty to felony bank fraud. Admitted child molester (high school boys he coached.) Fuck that guy.
John Boehner - PLastic industry executive. Career politician. Gingrich acolyte/victim. Resigned due to increasing oppositional defiance in the radical right wing of the Republican Conference (Freedom Caucus). Last heard from enjoying a life on the road with merlot and pot. Meh.
Paul Ryan - Oscar Mayer Weinermobile driver, career politician, and well known “dead eyed granny starver” (adult libertarian). Reputed, without evidence, to be a fiscal policy wonk. Protector of Devin Nunes. Opposed, then supported Donald Trump. Conflicts with Trump and writing on wall for the 2018 midterms led to “retirement.” Meh.
Kevin McCarthy - WTF? Resign, Kevin! Run! Wingnut Welfare awaits. Maybe. In any case, please fuck off.

Regardless of an impeachment whatever, McCarthy, if he puts a bill on the floor that does not include all the Republican poison pills that keeps the Government open, he will get Dem support.
The problem is without an ongoing impeachment whatever, if McCarthy puts a bill on the floor that is not supported by the crazy insurrection caucus, he will lose the speaker’s gavel.

The idea may not be his. It could be McConnell’s or more likely MTG.
But there is no way the House can conduct anything related to impeachment while it is also ousting its Speaker. Ousting McCarthy would for at least the time being end any impeachment.

Bullshit! The Asshole (Freedom?) Caucus has had this on the back and then front burner since the Orange Asshole (and draft dodger) lost the 2022 election. This payback for Trump’s two impeachments and his current three Federal and one State of Georgia indictments. This much to do about nothing is “election interference” and the House Republicans should pay a steep price for their actions. Personally, I think the far right leaders should be considered domestic terrorists and all that entails!
