I’m very disappointed to see this sort of comment on TPM. I would expect better of this community than jokes based on the lowest stereotypes about another group.
Furries are a hugely supportive and caring community and while some people choose to make light of their hobby, many others in the “geek hierarchy” recognize that mocking someone for enjoying something that makes them happy reflects more on the speaker than the target of derision.

The Furry community is a vibrant group of people who care deeply about the ability of people to express themselves in a welcoming environment. It’s a shame to see people mock them based on ignorance and stereotypes.

Jesus dude. Don’t be a dick. Furries are a geek subculture. My understanding is that having a furry alter-ego is the only way some people can interact socially. They’re not doing you any harm, and they welcome good-faith outcasts (Milo is the embodiment of acting in bad faith.)

Not enough posts from @mattf to judge the likely snark factor, but I am going with the assumption of snark. Even if Furries are actually nice people (not to say warm and cuddly), Milo isn’t so there is room for humor.
