It’s a puzzle to me why so many fundamentalists are anti-vaccine and anti mask. As I understand Exodus, God spared those who made sacrifices and followed rules. They had to sacrifice a lamb, which would be a significant thing at that time (much more burdensome than wearing a mask or getting a jab) and then follow a rule of painting the blood on their doorframes so that they angels of death would know which houses to spare. Also, as I understand it, God sends plagues to punish the wicked, ie those who don’t follow the rules set out by a centralized authority.
So in my view, they totally missed the lessons of what it is they profess to believe, as usual.
But then, I’m a wicked atheist so what do I know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking as a family member with multiple members with these types of issues (primarily bipolar), I can truthfully say the short answer is NO. One does the best they can and learns to enjoy the good times always knowing that they don’t last forever.

My aunt was a religious fanatic. She was also manic-depressive. Time and time again she would get “healed” at church services and she’d flush her medicines down the toilet. And then she would again have her spells. She’d wind up in the emergency room be put back on her meds and yep once again to the Foursquare church she would run so the Pulpit Pimp would anoint her with “holy Wesson oil” and down the toilet went the medicine again.
Just another reason why I despise Pulpit Pimp preachers and the garbage they push.
