Appearing in federal court this afternoon in Michigan, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab plead not guilty to charges arising from his alleged attempt to set off an explosive in Northwest Flight 253 on Christmas day.The indictment issued Wednesday lists six counts, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States.
