The Justice Department’s sex trafficking investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has expanded beyond the Republican’s home state, ABC News confirmed on Wednesday night.
ABC News also reported that Gaetz, a hardline loyalist to ex-President Donald Trump, reached out to high power attorney Bill Burck, who represented fellow Trump ally Steve Bannon in both Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe and the “We Build the Wall” fraud case.
Burck reportedly shot down Gaetz’s petition.

I’m shocked that someone who has never faced real consequences on anything he’s ever done, was of the belief he could continue to break rules and laws.
I’m still not holding my breath that anything will come of this and that there will be any repercussions. He is, after all, a Republican.

It’s mesmerizing, isn’t it? Just fascinating. It’s a whole new way for a purchase to be gratifying. Brick and mortar retail is instant, certainly. You point at the puppy or gun or flounder filet you want and they wrap it up and hand it over. But this, wow. I almost hate using FedEx any more even if it does come the next day.

Hopefully, this is going to sink Gaetz’s political career, even if he doesn’t get charged…it is always possible that FL will continue to send a child molester to Congress, but he won’t win beyond that. My real hope is that this is a thread that gets pulled and leads into exactly where this girl came from…I have a feeling that’s a dark place. The DoJ really could make a dent into this dirty stuff, between Gaetz and the Epstein fallout there are real avenues to follow, and at least some of them lead to rich, powerful men.
