And guess what kind of foster home the Christian placement center will put them in. Guess. This doesn’t end at ripping the families apart and potentially prosecuting parents and medical professionals. It ends in merciless attempts to “re-educate” these children by placing them in Christian conservative foster homes that refuse them access to the medical professionals they desperately DESPERATELY need during their formative years. It ends in their waves of suicides during their teen years and young adult lives, all while the white Christian bigots will cheer and sing “good riddance” to the tune of Jason Aldean 's latest mangling of the octave.

The thing is that he is not doing it out of sheer meanness(although it probably plays a part), Abbot is doing because there are votes to be won by pushing the issue. The day that Texas voters make it clear that divisiveness and cruelty is not a way to earn their votes, this crap is going to stop.

Well. I can see the clear division between meanness and a simple calculation to pander to the voters. That makes it better and lets Abbot off the hook as an uncaring and nasty son of a bitch.
I am sure if he gets the votes, he will clear up the matter swiftly and put it in the past. He seems like a reasonable man. He would never go to extremes to let harm come to someone on his watch.

Like women having abortions, we have historical evidence that trans people have been present in the population for a really long time. It’s a reality of our existence and if it’s abhorrent to their god, He’s doing a pretty bad job of stamping it out.

That is what it has come to. They are unabashedly cruel. The Lt. Gov and AG both remarked during the quarantine that the old folks ought to sacrifice themselves for the good of the stock market. And they managed to freeze close to 300 of us to death last February and seem to think little of it.

I think I mentioned before that Canada just ended conversion therapy. Even the Conservatives voted in favour. In fact it was unanimous.
