I could not agree more. From the first few moments of the debate (which I didn’t actually watch, I was listening in the car while on a camping trip), I felt paralyzed. Yesterday, like so many others, sent in my first contribution of this election cycle. Happy to be part of that amazing $81 million raised yesterday.

While Faux News and its imitators wait to settle on the ad hominem attacks, Democrats need to be laser focused on issues that matter to the majoirtiy of people in this country: affordable housing, fair pay for work, taxing the Uber-wealthy, access to affordable health care, tackling the homeless problem. Let the MAGATS have their name-calling childishness and their constant lying. Democrats need to focus on effective governance and getting real work done. Governing is hard (especially when one party has one goal: blocking everything proposed by Democrats). The Biden administration got a lot of good legislation through despite constant Republican stonewalling. Let’s get this message out as well as proposed positive ways forward. Let’s get to work winning this election up and down the ballot!

Speaker Johnson made noises about filing suit to prevent Vice President Harris from taking the top spot – never mind that Biden hadn’t been officially nominated. It would only take a few deep pockets in a few swing states to kick TSF off the ballot if he replaces JD (Wentworth? Mandel?).
