A Case Study in How Trump Treats His Friends

Spoken like a true TRUMP.

LOL. Quality response there, Binky. Really showing off that command of the subject matter.

Muting can be your friend. It’s worked real well for me.

It’s no help when someone with no impulse control jumps into someone else’s conversation.

That’s great, it still doesn’t address the actual thing that was being discussed. But then, since you’re the one who started turning this toward personal attacks, here, I’m not surprised. And, when you can’t actually argue the facts, you keep opting for the personal attacks. But sure. I’m the shitty human being. You go ahead and keep on trying to cut me down to make yourself feel better about whatever your self-perceived inadequacy is. I don’t care. I am, after all, an arrogant asshole. It’s fun.

Yeah, and if I get tired of their flailing, I’ll use it. But if the back-and-forth is bugging you guys, lemme know, and I’ll just go that route right off.

Just don’t want you getting put in time out by the mods.

If they tell me to knock it off, they all know I will.

What was personal about that? JFC, you have one paper thin skin (again, like a Trump). You started calling me childish names TODAY. Binkie (wtf?).

Don’t even talk to me about arguing facts, when you spin word definitions to be what you want them to be, then totally forget 24 hours later what you even said.

Your whole grasp of reality is suspect. You tried arguing at great length that DJT is not insane and is not a nuclear menace to the world. That’s as crazy as he is. Or not, you just have to be right at all costs, even if your position becomes absurd. You do it over and over again. You really are a fucking boor.

Oh, please. You directly attacked me there, rather than the argument I was making.

Yeah, I did. Cuz you’ve been acting like a fucking child.

I haven’t forgotten anything. Please show me where anything I’ve said today isn’t consistent with what I said in the earlier posts of the discussion.

Another personal attack.

Which has what bearing on this discussion? Seems almost like trying to muddy the waters, there.

Another personal attack.

Only when I’m right. When someone shows me I’m not, I admit it.

Yet another personal attack.

Look, Bish, I’m gonna take a moment to be nice…ish, and give you a blunt heads-up: I’m not gonna stop responding here, unless people I actually respect (which includes, but is not limited to, the mods) ask me to. If that happens, yeah, I’ll shut it down no problem, because I don’t need to win this. I don’t give a shit about winning it. I’m having fun.

I don’t think you quite get what you’re dealing with. I’m a Goon. I’ve been a fully-paid-up member of the SomethingAwful.com forums for more than two decades now. If you could look up ‘everything wrong with the internet’ someplace, I’m pretty sure we’re in the Top 5. 4chan is something we spun off to get rid of the people who couldn’t handle the insanity of an entire culture of anti-social misanthropy. If all you’ve got here is the same whining bleats you’ve been putting out there, and accusations of me being a horrible person… it’s not gonna have any result you’ll enjoy. Nothing you can accuse me of comes close to the worst I’ve dealt with—and that, from friends—and like I said: it’s fun. You’re funny in your irritation. Because I am an asshole. I am a terrible person. Is that supposed to make me feel bad? It doesn’t. I know who I am. I enjoy being me.

Are you enjoying this?

The “a” of “atheism” is Greek’s “alpha-privative,” which means “away from” and functions much like the prefix “un-” in English. So, “a-theism” can be interpreted as “belief that there is no god, much less gods,” but it can also be interpreted as “away from belief in a god or gods,” that is, “I don’t know if there are gods or a god” – in other words, agnostic (away from gnosis, knowledge or understanding about an issue).

At least I think @arrendis was parsing words along lines like that.

IIRC, arrendis used the example of immoral (im- = in =, here, Eng. “un”) vs. amoral (that alpha-privative, or rather Latin’s counterpart, a/ab). “Apolitical” is distinctly Greek alpha-privative word. A person who is “apolitical” could be hostile or completely indifferent to politics, never paying attention to the news, never voting, and perhaps even urging others to follow their way, or they could have no commitment to a party or ideology, pay little attention to the news except in the weeks before some elections, and then vote.

I just noticed that this thread got unpleasant after I left it. I’m trying to stick to the subject.

Yup, that’s all exactly correct!

For the record, the offer to @becca656 and the mods goes for you, too: if it bugs you, lemme know, I’ll just put @thebishop on ignore.

No, I use the bathroom regularly. :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would it worry you?

LOL. Why would I bother with any of that shit? See, this is what I mean by you having no idea. You leap to these ‘OMG YOU’RE THREATENING ME’ levels when I’ve said no such thing.

See? This is closer to a threat than anything I said. I just told you what kind of person I am, and that I enjoy this kind of thing. But you go and start bringing violence into it. All while doubling down on the personal attacks.

But I’m the ‘shitty human being’, right? You inserted yourself into the discussion about whether agnosticism could be considered atheistic in nature, but I’m the one ‘with no impluse control jump[ing] into someone else’s conversation’, right?

This is why you’re funny, Bish.

EDIT: Also: ‘deformed’? I mean, I’ve never liked my toes, but ‘deformed’?? Damn, that’s just mean. :stuck_out_tongue:
