This always fried my brain. The concept that multiple major league sports leagues would voluntarily partner with online betting sites, then feign shock and surprise when gambling related scandals involving their players or officials began erupting. I mean, the Black Sox scandal is supposed to be the ultimate cautionary tale.

My older brother told me I would be better off hitting a cow. It would be harder on the car, but since they have a lower center of gravity, it was less likely a cow would come up over the hood - with the results you’ve described.

Exactly. They are OK with firing all the IGs. Or having Chump take over the IRS and bury his own felonies or go after enemies using the IRS or DOJ. They are OK with him getting pardons for every scumbag traitor in the country. They are OK with him extorting money from our treasury to pay off Mike Flynn or Ashlee Babbit or whatever. But he can’t have Mamdani in for a visit like he does for all kinds of U.S. politicians.
All of them will piss and moan and say ‘he lost me’…but they aren’t going anywhere.
