the group’s plans to target and kill police officers.

No, Republicans.

Right-wing conservatives are not on your side.

Unfortunately, these assholes are the only ones that got caught.
I’d be surprised if this were the only armed militia morons that have a ‘plan’.

The men allegedly tried using code words and other methods to hide their plotting, but they’d been infiltrated by the feds
They should have used a better encryption app.

And what makes you think they aren’t infiltrated, too?

I sincerely hope that they are!

Me too and I have no idea but I do know that if these guys got infiltrated then the FBI is paying attention to these groups.

I hope law enforcement starts taking these Proud Boy/Leathermen/2nd Amendment thugs and protests more seriously.

If the ringleaders of the armed “Liberate Michigan” protesters that stormed the Michigan Statehouse this Spring had been arrested and charged, would these thugs have been brave enough to come up with this plan?

the description of these dirtbags is insane. One living in a vacuum shop and about to get evicted and another Trailer Trash. Patriots my ass. Patriots would take their AR-15s to Afghanistan! Unfortunate, there they shoot back, Where do these brilliant mf’ers come from? Have they even graduated from elementary school? Barr didn’t know about these guys. I bet he was kept in the dark for fear he would tip off the dipshits.

It is hard to imagine the Governor was ever without some security. Then MO Gov Eric Greitens lived a block behind us. From the day he was elected until he moved to the capital at least 2 unmarked police vehicles were outside his place 24/7.
I can’t imagine the governor and her family were ever unguarded, even at their vacation home.

I’m sure you’re right.

we used to laugh about it because we walked past his house often walking our dog or heading to nearby restaurants they seemed to want to be inconspicuous but were anything but.

These plotters likely never had a clue either. They are prime examples why any sort of right-wing “revolution” is nonsense. They don’t have any real understanding of the world we live in or the way the government operates and think they know how to outwit/overcome “the powers that be” and this is the inevitable result.

The only ones who can slip through the cracks (and are truly dangerous) are the lone wolves who get activated by the violent rhetoric but don’t reveal their plans to anyone. They’re much harder to spot, but they also will never be able to bring about change. McVeigh was glad to be put to death, believing he would be a martyr for the cause and create a new world. His compatriots couldn’t fall over themselves fast enough to disavow him and promise they were just LARPing.

Without Trump (and right-wing media supporting him) pushing their buttons, guys like these will largely go back to that.

So what is the covid status of Barr, Pence and mother at the moment?

They’re under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus in that order.

Exactly - they were kidnapping her and possibly meant to kill her. They thought they could “liberate Michigan” just by getting rid of one person even though it was the governor? How stupid are these guys? What fucking century are they living in? This might have worked for 5 seconds in bloody Kansas or Occupied Missouri in 1860. But for god’s sake, you can assassinate a President and the country does not stop going. It’s happened - we know what the protocol is.

Through no fault of their top "leader"ship, though.

So these mouth-breathers are never very smart, and thank goodness for that.

It looks like the Aryan Brotherhood will be getting some new members, or maybe just getting reacquainted.

I was going to make a comment about them meeting in the basement of a business, and then I remembered that it’s only Dems who have nefarious activities in basements of businesses, even when the business in question has no basement.
Seriously, these guys. Serious question: were they workout fans? Most of the pics of those kind of folks don’t really suggest that they’re gym rats.
