The part I am talking about is where he appealed to fellow Republicans to step up and recognize Trump as unfit.
Look, I hear you. I well remember that Schmidt made amends for the likes of Palin, after all. I have been listening to him for years now. He pissed me off, too. But I feel we are at a whole different universe of crazy with donnie. And perhaps a part of me is so terrified, angry and desperate by the current state of affairs, that I too quickly forgive and forget what Schmidt might have done back then.
The way I see it is, we need at least a few, respected Republicans to be outraged. I am already thinking of how I can post this text of Schmidt because I know the impact he will have on the Republicans I personally know. I am sorry if my enthusiasm rubs you the wrong way….I mean that. But I see what he said as something I can use.

After reading the transcript and seeing a few clips, I think Trump looked very scared. The reporters got in his grill repeatedly, not giving any elbow room to lie and bullshit. He lashed out defensively, making mistake after mistake, leading where next to no one would follow (except for the Nazis). He’s on Nazi island right now, and he ain’t coming back.
Before that presser turned into a complete train wreck, he answered a question about Bannon where he was letting him twist in the wind, getting some distance from him, and patting Bannon on the back for getting a bad rap for ‘being a racist’. I think Trump was setting up to fire Bannon and make him take the fall for #charlottesville. Then, the reporters asked him questions, he got defensive, allied himself with Nazis and everything went to shit.
At this point, if Trump’s survival instinct is still working, he has little choice but to fire Bannon. He knows he’s in trouble, that his relationship with the GOP is tenuous, and that Pence has been laying the groundwork to save himself and take the Presidency. #trumprussia has had some big revelations this week on money laundering and conspiracy. There will be more revelations which tie the two together.
There is also the specter of the upcoming Nazi rallies against Google sites this weekend. These nuts are going to be emboldened and will bring their guns and sticks. Patriots are going to #resist. The police will probably be unable to stop every single potential flashpoint. Therefore, the risk of a repeat of #charlottesville is quite high. The Nazis want to push their freedom window and kill innocents while they know the law will be a step slow to stop them because there are Nazis in the WH that want to use these guys as a paramilitary force to impose white supremacy much like the Klan did in the late 1800s and continued to do until the mid-1960s.
So if Trump wants to get out in front of the Nazi craze that he has unleashed in the country and get a second look from the GOP and the voters, he has to fire Bannon. The right move for political viability is to fire Bannon & Gorka and bring a moderate GOPer to work under Kelly. Perhaps the only such person he trusts in that vein is Mooch, but Mooch lacks the temperament to do the day to day work.

I think if I remember right, I stumbled on it in Norman Rich’s book from the 70’s, Hitler’s War Aims. But don’t quote me on that. The 70’s were a long time ago.
As an addendum, your swipe at Sanders people was unnecessary. It’s time to stop that.

Even the part about ICE breaking up a white supremacist ring. It was DHS/ICE doing the investigative work for counties in Texas investigating the Aryan Brotherhood meth ring. The investigation began last year and the indictments were unsealed today
Corrected below in Dallas Observer Article. The motherfuckers were touting the indictments as “new”, but they are years old. The final conviction was yesterday
