Discussion: WaPo: Trump Admin Suspends Criminal Prosecutions Of Migrant Parents

Trump is on TV blaming all this on Pelosi and the Dems.

And the Dems will just sit and take this in the shorts, won’t fight back.

I could be wrong, but I believe that ICE and CBP are allowed to take DNA samples from anyone they arrest or detain for criminal prosecution, under Maryland v. King. Since 2009, anyone arrested by a federal agency like FBI, DEA, ATF has had to give a DNA sample which is put into CODIS. I assume that whenever CBP is enforcing criminal immigration laws, they too can take samples upon arrest. A few years back the EFF was fighting some proposed CBP/ICE regulations to take swabs from kids aged 14 and possibly younger, but I don’t know what happened.

They want to start fingerprinting them. I wouldn’t currently trust our government with this, look at DACA.

Please don’t do that again…
It’s too painful

That’s perfect.
WaPo gets the public’s hopes up, and DOJ shoots them down.

Keep them on the wrong side of good.
