He has a point. While we have previously had many rich misogynistic white guys run for (and even be) President, Trump is the first time we have had a fascist win a major party nomination. Like Kristallnacht, glass barriers of a different sort have indeed been shattered in U.S. politics with his nomination.

That was a rather stunning answer, given the context of the presser. And sadly, I think it largely got ignored because of the horrible acoustics, nobody else heard the actual question.
I still have been unable to find a transcript that has the actually questions in that presser. One has some of the questions, parts of some, but mostly (question inaudible).
The reporter that asked the question is Mareike Aden, a German reporter.
I do admit to be somewhat surprised that this hasn’t gotten more coverage, but its Trump’s version of The Gish Gallop…he just throws out so much increasingly horrible things, that the media can’t keep up. He made this comment in the same speech where he invited…repeatedly…for Russia to do more hacks of America.
And of course has since gone on to attacking a Gold star family and claiming that giving people underpaid jobs is a bigger sacrifice than losing a loved one in war.
I like to think I do a pretty decent job of keeping track of this sort of stuff normally…but honestly, even I find myself getting overwhelmed at times.

Thank you. I did not mean to suggest Hillary was not beyond that “certain age.” This is why I used the past participle “having had.”… which raises an additional question for Trump: Does Hillary no longer do “horribly disgusting things” because she is past menopause (presumably)?

How can anyone listen to him and want to vote for him? I don’t understand it. Sure, there are probably 5% sociopaths-in-training who think he’s a great example for them, but what are the rest seeing?

I think it’s even more despicable; he is an insecure, needy person who overcompensates with his bullying and bragging. He could do with a long session on the psychiatrist’s couch, but that is not the country’s concern. What we should be worried about is the thought of him fooling enough people to put him in the White House. That is simply unacceptable.

Never underestimate stupid people in large groups.
I’m not happy to say this but we have a psychopath running for president. In my 60 plus years following elections and observing those who govern our nation I have never witnessed such strange behavior. How do we explain this to our children? It would be dereliction of duty to let this slide. Shoulde we bring back old fashioned civics classes?
Outside politics I guess the closest is Charlie Sheen’s unraveling.
Can anyone come up with some other examples?
