Discussion: Trump Slams ‘Sneak’ Tarmac Meeting Between Bill Clinton, Loretta Lynch

I think it was the lipstick on your cheek, bro.

“I have been watching MSNBC for several hours today. This story was on when I first turned on the TV. In the hours since … not a peep.”

With all due respect, watching FauxNews would have garnered more hits than MSNBC.

I asked and She said no, also recall this convo happened in the dark.

Ah, jeez, Bill. The optics of this are not good. No need to give the other side needless ammunition. Think, man, think.

Really? Because I’ll bet that pretending to ignore each other would have been proof of nefarious undertakings too.

Well, I would say she is:

So you think HRC might be indicted for Vince Foster’s murder? First you have to have some evidence that a crime was comitted. And the hell with the optics of Bill Clibton speakbg with the AG. Here are some "optics that you might want to consider regarding Mr Trump: soliciting campaign donations from non US citizens; failure to release tax returns; the Florida AG dropping the case against Trump University following a donation from Mr Trump; failure to pay workers and contractors; the case against him re: his “University” for fraud and on and on. Donald Trump has apparently been a scammer for his entire “career.” His casinos which enriched him and left others holding the bag - so to speak. Just yesterday I read a story about a condo development in Mexico which Trump and his kids touted as a great place - but never got built. Again lots of people lost lots of money relying upon the Trump name. But where is the hue and cry about those ethics
But Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton talk at the airport and it is “unethical.”. It is “bad optics”. It was Bill being his own worst enemy and on and on. Guess what there was no ethical violation BECAUSE there is no indictment regarding Benghazi or emails OR Vince Foster as there is no “cause of action” and without that there is no there anywhere.

Shorter Donald: I know from personal experience that the only reason two people talk together is when one wants something from the other. Did I mention that I have no true friends? But I don’t see the reason for all this sneaking about in broad daylight on the tarmac. When I want to influence a judge trying one of my cases I simply go on national TV and accuse them of racial bias. All open and above board.

Yeah. But even we admit that it is carrying matters too far to put the recycled material on top of one’s head.

Damn…just when you think republicans were about to run out of “scandals.”

Not even the Republicans in the Senate were willing to vouch for Cruz’s character.

If Hillary had even the slightest suspicion that she had committed a serious breach of national security, you can bet she would have forfeited the run for the white house. She’s smart like that. Let the repubs scream and holler all they want. Nothing, nothing is going to come of it.

Yes, secret service and Lynch’s husband were present and no favors asked. I suspect a Republican or two will want another formal investigation of this which will cost several million dollars and we will never hear the end of it. This will be a good lesson to Bill to "watch it, " however.

Whatever they talked about it worked.

I agree that it’s ridiculous for Trump to talk about anyone’s judgment — but just as a point of curiosity, does anyone know what actually took place? “Tarmac”, I believe is the surface that the airplanes’ wheels roll on, and I doubt they were standing out there among the luggage carts, etc. Did they encounter one another in the public corridor of the airport and stop to chat for a few minutes? The only account I could find that referred to any facts mentioned a meeting that took place in a private plane while it was sitting on the tarmac. Makes a difference. I don’t care about Trump and his hysterical drama … but no one needs Bill and his “the rules don’t apply to me” attitude creating distractions. However, I can’t imagine that Lynch would allow anything with that much ‘appearance of impropriety.’ So - does anyone know what actually happened?

Otherwise known as: the perfect metaphor for Trump’s campaign!

Yes, but that’s not the point, and I suspect you know it.

It is and it isn’t. Cruz has tried trick after trick and even people on his side don’t trust him. So it is not simply partisanship on my part that I would not trust a move he made.

I do trust the Clintons. Partisans on the on the other side have tried and failed to catch them in anything criminal or politically nefarious. Foolishness on Bill’s part and a certain degree of naïveté in the selection of larger than life friends and naïveté in an assumption that people will believe in their good faith. But in general the world seems to go bonkers when the Clintons behave the way unwary innocent people behave.

Put another way, a good part of the Republican reaction to the Clintons is projection.
