Discussion: Trump Claims Briefing Delayed, Questions Intel On Russian Hacking

Donnie, Donnie, Donnie. Do you really want to piss off the people who have the dirt on everybody?

Actually, someone should slap a subpeona on him for that statement, and do it quickly. He publicly stated he had additional information concerning Russian interference under investigation. So drag him before a court and find out what it is.

And do so before he takes office while he is a private citizen, before he can muck up things and claim executive privilege.

It’s by now an inescapable conclusion, somewhere close to 100 percent probability, that he’s been colluding with the Russians. There’s no other explanation that would account for all this. In his clumsy, obvious fashion he’s strenuously trying to cast doubt on the entire intelligence community’s competence and motivations. It’s completely unheard-of and would be just as completely insane if he weren’t obviously trying to deflect from even the idea that the Russians did the hacking. It smacks of panic and I would not at all be surprised by a sudden resignation because they’d got him in a room with his lawyers, confronted him with the evidence they have and given him an ultimatum.

And also disturbing how many self-described Americans^ are willing to follow him there.

^ā€œSelf-describedā€ because anyone willing to follow Trump so slavishly down that rabbit hole is probably equally complicit in his treason and betrayal of America.

Has any President or President-elect ever defended or supported a foreign country and leader on any controversial issue (even an ally or friendly leader) like Trump has Russia and Putin? Let’s see - I’m about to be President of the United States. Who do I believe and put my trust and the welfare of the country on? 17 U.S. intelligence agencies and their computer and cyber-security experts? Or Vladimir Putin and Julian Assange? Gee, I hope all the decisions I need to make aren’t this hard. Gotta go - meeting with Kanye about to start (I remember when the important meetings are scheduled).

If anyone had or will have the goods, it would be the intelligence agencies. He should be nicer to them if he knew what was good for him.

Trump should go ahead and name Sergey Naryshkin head of the CIA, at least that would make the arrangement more transparent.

Please, please, please let it happen before inauguration.

The American intelligence community also has assets of its own all over the world. And it can advise those assets, too.

Or not.

Which can make a President’s life a living hell.

Who is the third traitor in the jaws of Satan/Putin?

I think you meant ā€˜rule’ here, but ā€˜rue’ is an inadvertent work of genius. Don’t correct it.

This was my reaction also. Our intelligence agencies are the sole source of much information vital to the President’s decisions and our national security. And before he is even in office he is in a public, snarky twitter feud with them over something that he knows nothing about. It is unbelievably dangerous, petty, and juvenile.
