Soon he’ll just watch this instead of Fox and Friends

It’s just not his daughter-in-law, of course…

CNN reported it was not clear whether the Republican National Committee or Trump’s reelection campaign funded the video, but said the segment “does not appear to be government-funded.”

Does not appear??? What kind of shitty reporting is that? Either it is, or it isn’t. Get back to us when you actually know CNN. In the meantime, my tax dollars better not be paying for this shit. Someone really needs to get to the bottom of that right away. No gov’t money should ever be diverted to have this propaganda bullshit out there. They have Whitehouse.gov., don’t they? Why aren’t they using that?

CNN gets what they deserve.

I remember seeing this before, but it was all in grainy black and white and everybody spoke German.

Katrina Pierson is furious. Zirconium and Polyester are shaking. Who’d have thought McEnany would come out on top?

Speaking of that Trumped up market, one has to realize that the Dow represents only 30 companies. Boeing has risen 70% since last November. Because of Boeing’s weighting in the index, Boeing alone accounts for 45% of the Dow’s rise:

Boeing, which generates much of its profits from its Defense, Space and Security division, has seen its shares soar more than 70 percent since Trump’s election. It has accounted for 45 percent of the Dow’s rise this year, far more than any of the other 29 companies in the index.

Then you have Apple,Visa, McDonald’s up 30% or more YTD. Add in a 25% jump for American Express, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs after Trump’s win in November and you can see why the Dow is up so much. The market as a whole has not done as well. Anyone waiting for a sudden crash in the Dow will be waiting for a while. There’s more than a few Dow stocks down for the year, GE is downs about 18%. GE is supposed to be an indicator of our industry’s health. A better indicator of the overall market is the Wilshire 5000 index. It tracks over 7,500 US based companies. It is up a little over ten percent YTD. Average annual long term growth rate for the index is 14.17%. We’re within the average range so far this year. Honestly, I didn’t even know he did weekly addresses. Too bad he doesn’t do regular press conferences like all other Presidents in the modern era are expected to do.

So, the Trump cult now has an official ministry of propaganda? How soon until the official gold coins, vitality pills, and survivalist gear are available?

“Hey, kids, be the first on your block with the official Trump Make America Great Again walkie-talkies, with LED lights! Now you can report your parents and neighbors to the FBI from up to 1,000 feet away!”

Yup. The S&P 500 is a better metric than the Dow, but even it doesn’t really capture the health of the economy.

Follow the money. This is not an inexpensive undertaking.

Donnie needs Ms. Swan

So, let me make the most important point first: I find the MSM (and even TPM’s) failure to zero in on the “no one knows who’s paying for this or where the money’s coming from” part of this story as the most important aspect disconcerting.

This reeks of Trump corruption and swindling. And I find it hard to believe they’re legally allowed to hide the source of the money which, I guarantee you, is not coming out of the pockets on anyone named “Trump.”

The second point is that there’s a word I once would have applied to Kayleigh until someone pointed out that using it that way inferred that sex workers had agency and were voluntarily engaged in that trade rather than marginalized and often enslaved. So yeah, the correct word here is “grifter.”

Yes - my question as well. Who is paying for this codswallop? Given Donald’s storied history, it’s guaranteed it isn’t him.
