Discussion: Tarkanian To Ditch Senate Primary Against Dean Heller After Trump Tweet

Practice makes perfect. By November, he could sink the entire GOP ballot at midterms.

“It would be great for the Republican Party of Nevada, and it’s [sic.] unity if good guy Danny Tarkanian would run for Congress and Dean Heller, who is doing a really good job, could run for Senate unopposed!”

Unfortunately (for Heller) he will not run unopposed even if Tarkanian drops out. He will still have to beat Rosen.

There’s room for both on the headstone.

Jacky Rosen is a good candidate. Her congressional district is a swing district so she knows how to win Indies. Polling in NV is notoriously difficult to do, but I see her winning this race by 4-8 points.

This is why Donald Trump needs to remain president until at least November 3, 2020. The Republican’t Party is big and Trump needs time to thoroughly destroy it…

Wouldn’t it have been fun if Pence had run off with Kim’s sister? hahahahahahahaha

Seriously, why on earth tweet this stuff. Just pick up the mf’ing phone like every president since they invented phones. Why broadcast that you are rigging the primary.

And Anyone remember when Trump spent half the campaign toeing the Moscow saboteurs line that the DNC had rigged the primary for Hillary. How is this different? This is just politics but you don;t do it in the open.

Trump has said this repeatedly and it’s clear he simply doesn’t understand.

Heller is toast. End of story.

It would be interesting to see if Tarkanian has some beneficial financial involvement in any subsequent Trump empire deals in Las Vegas.

Yep. I read that sentence and thought “Danny, the universe is trying to tell you something. Maybe you oughta pay it some attention”.

If this is so great for Dean Heller why hasn’t he changed his official campaign portrait?

They’re scared.

Here’s the best counter for the Dems to use:

“Nevada, Donald Trump thinks he gets to choose your next Senator. Does he?”

But while avoiding a primary is a godsend for Heller, Trump’s seal of approval is unlikely to help in the general election in a state he narrowly lost in 2016

How is this possible?

Good question - Pence is basically “out of sight, out of mind.” Think of how involved Joe Biden was in meetings, policy discussions, sessions with congressional members, and appearances where he represented President Obama in multiple capacities. I know Pence is on the stupid side, but still . . . . is it deliberate to try and keep him untainted as Mueller’s investigation proceeds, or is it just that Trump isn’t interested in hearing from him?

Dems need to USE this. No rest for the weary. We need to take out EVERY Republican possible. I won’t be happy until their representation in Congress and State Governments is about that of the so-called “Green Party.”

Listen to Trump… ALWAYS a good idea.
