Bundy was executed in Florida, man! The Bundy analogy works for me.
my brother got into an argument with bundy at a party in tallahasse. he was cold.
Thatâs on the Trump voters.
The hilarity of those eight days, is that it wouldnât surprise me, if the Wikileaks dumps only wounded, but didnât kill her campaign.
It will be interesting, if Chaffetzâs tweet of the Comey letter was essentially the âdaggerâ.
Its one thing for Assange going Assange, but Comeyâs letter might have did just enough for any likely fence sitters to vote Trump.
And now for something completely different and a way to empathize with the economic anxiety ridden WWC, the worldâs first ever monster truck, front flip.
Just refreshed my memory with a bit of googling about Watergate and Nixon. He resigned as articles of impeachment were being written. He had to know the end was near but Kissinger delivered the news to him that he needed to go. He resigned on national TV the next evening -that I remember. The Watergate scandal dominated everything. Nixon had little to no support.
I donât believe that Trump could or would go on national TV and resign. If it happens he will not go quietly for the sake of our Republic.
He resigned after the House Judiciary Committee approved the articles of impeachment, but before the full House could vote. That day, Senator Goldwater and other leading Republicans in congress went to the White House and told Nixon that they would vote to remove. Nixon made his speech the next night and resigned the next day.
The reason Nixon resigned rather than fight it out? He was made aware that if he resigned, he would get his pension. If removed, he would lose it. Nixon was nearly broke at that time, his tax fraud having been exposed and a $500,000 back tax bill paid.
I remember that week well.
That seems to be what data showed. I think it was Silver who published an article to that effect. IIRC it had a devastating impact.
We need to know how that letter ended up being written and sent. I am aware different speculations are out there about how and why that letter happened. We need to know the truth because that was not only a violation of the DOJ protocol on Comeyâs part but it may also well be part of the Russia story.
Allow me to rip off a piece of Reynoldâs and form a make-shift shiny beret for a momentâŚ
Itâs been reported that Russia also successfully hacked into 22 state voter databases. With that raw knowledge, including party affiliation and voting history, it would have been easy - ridiculously easy - to target Dâs and Iâs who only vote in presidential elections or sometimes vote in midterms, too. With that info, it would also be easy to find these people on Facebook or other social media. It would also be easy to locate their email addresses.
What Iâm suggesting is that micro-targeting fake news would not have been difficult. BTW, the vote today to allow ISPs to sell our browsing history makes current micro-targeting already look antiquated! And even if it wasnât done in this past election (tinfoil hat slipping to the side) there is no reason to believe that theyâd scale back their efforts in future elections or, frankly, on an ongoing basis to help the nation remain a nasty bunch of infighters.
So Obama wouldnât let Comey release the Russia connection but was fine with him releasing the update re: HRC/emails? That doesnât sound rightâŚ
The pension stuff I do not recall -thanks. Those televised hearings were devastating. John Dean seems to have landed on his feet. He was a young lawyer and in deep cow manure. More than a few served time. Gordon Liddy, Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Hunt, ColsonâŚ
Attorney General Mitchell. Good times, good times.
I wonder if you have encountered this piece. It was posted here a while back⌠I want to h/t to the poster but I canât remember his name.
Thanks geo - I havenât read this one but did read a scary one linked here several weeks ago about this Cambridge Analytics. Some of my work is âbig data adjacentâ and the more I learn, the happier I am that I have a minimal online footprint and that Iâve started to use cash more and more.
Obama didnât have anything to do with Comeyâs letter to ChaffetzâŚ
Comey did that on his own â
I hear you but I still donât think the republic is quite that far gone. This is a perfectly straightforward quid pro quo exercise in treasonous chicanery. Easy to explain; easy to follow. I predict a surge of outrage among the white working class demographics that voted for Trump to vent their anger and frustration once they realize just how cruelly theyâve been played.
there seems to be a lot of coordinated resisting going on in russia lately. Hmm.
OT:
I would say this is CNNâs fault. Jeffrey Lord is one of the fuckest fucks and thatâs no secret. If they donât invite KAC because of her lack of credibility, why keep having this nutjob on their program?
The GOP learned long ago that offensiveness is the best defensiveness.
I know, I know, but I am gobsmacked at the 39% âNo.â
