Oh please. It was a dumb thing to do, but the idea that the children are struggling with this is precious.

If I wanted a D-list celebrity to represent my opinions I would have voted for Donald Trump.

I had to google who this person was.

Dumbass does dumbass thing, apologizes for being a dumbass. World pauses, hesitates, reconsiders, continues to turn.

Who cares what Kathy Griffin does or says? The country’s burning down.

None of the cretins who are attacking Griffin had anything to say about hanging Pres. Obama’s effigy and/or setting (him) it on fire.

I’m not agreeing with Griffin at all. But I’m not going to rail against her after what Obama went through for eight years.

And if Rump has a problem with his son seeing that image, tell him to speak with either Sasha or Malia to get their unvarnished opinion.

BFD. A comic makes a “joke” and the world is set on fire. Greg Abbott talks about shooting journalists and no one blinks an eye. Please. And good on Ms. Griffin for apologizing for an error of bad taste. Talk about “snowflakes.”

Judith Slaying Holofernes is a painting by the Italian early Baroque artist Artemisia Gentileschi completed between 1614–20. The work shows the scene of Judith beheading Holofernes, common in art since the early Renaissance, as part of the group of subjects called the Power of women, which show women triumphing over powerful men. The subject takes an episode from the apocryphal Book of Judith in the Old Testament, which recounts the assassination of the Assyrian general Holofernes by the Israelite heroine Judith. The painting shows the moment when Judith, helped by her maidservant, beheads the general after he has fallen asleep drunk.

But wait, there’s more beheadings in classical art: this time, Salome and John the Baptist:

The Republicans who’ve never criticized the statements by Limbaugh and Savage and Ablow and any number of garden-variety GOP nitwits have no standing to get their panties up in a bunch about this.

That said, what Griffin did was really profoundly dumb and self-defeating. You can’t depict a beheading of an American against the backdrop of what happened to Daniel Pearl not all that long ago and not expect a backlash. It’s the least effective way to defeat Trump and Trumpism.

Remember what El Covfefe did to Obama for years and years when Malia and Sasha were little kids? And now he and his trophy wife are having a field day.

Having said that, what Griffin did was not funny and not helpful in any way. Please go away is all I want to say.

She’s got control issues for sure. A shame as she used to be a great comedic actor.

Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

I think Barron would have a hard time were a pea beneath his mattress.

Trump is riding his golf cart to the moral high ground.

The only thing she should apologize for is not having pence, kushner, bannon, conway and preibus’s heads in a pile .

On the other hand, he might just be the most unflappable child alive. I think you’d have to be raised in war-torn South Sudan or Isis-controlled Las Vegas to become more psychologically durable.

No, this insipid and vulgar crap is vile and beneath what is appropriate for civil discourse. Do not celebrate or take part in the normalizing of discussions of violence against our political opponents.

Chelsea Clinton tweet on Trump photo: "vile and wrong.”

Later, she tweeted about the photo of his bloodied, severed head.

Meh.

Where was all of the outrage at the monkey images, nooses, Obama rifle targets.

Talk about fucking snowflakes. Let’s talk about how this “Mitt Romney wrote, “Our politics have become too base, too low, & too vulgar, but Kathy Griffin’s post descends into an even more repugnant & vile territory.””

Who exactly dragged the discussion to this level, how about we start with Rush Limpdick’s vile discourse over the last 30 + years, then there is Hannity, and Drudge, and Brietbart continues to this day, yet one person on the left “goes too far” and there is a right wing freak out. Griffin should have stuck with 1st Amendment rights argument, and when they whine about how Barron (or Miller) felt, ask them how either of Obama’s children felt during continuous attacks over 8+ years

so fucking tired of the double standard (and with tRUmp it has become a triple and quadruple standard to accommodate his incompetency)

Griffin shouldn’t have apologized. The powerful being unafraid of the peasants is how sociopathic greed monsters like Donald Trump ascend to leadership. And it’s not like Trump and his legions of fascists goons are shy about threatening violence against their perceived enemies, which include over half of this country’s citizens.
