Oh sure, Facebook is “taking steps”. Facebook will warn distributors of false facts that they’re distributing false facts, but Facebook won’t be the arbiter of truth.
No. Facebook will know they’re lies. Facebook will help the liars by confirming they’re lying. Only Facebook’s customers — the honest, law-abiding people of this country — will be ignorant about what’s going on.

I was/am a newcomer to HBO’s “Homeland” this past spring - the current season’s last few episodes, and not the priors. My understanding that it is a very well known and popular show.
It was pretty clear to me that the propaganda factory depicted was an attempt by the script-writers to bring attention to this propaganda issue viz Facebook.
